The Mipro-EP Primer Epoxy Coating is a sealer that provides a strong surface finish on top coats that are added. Zinc phosphate, a corrosion-inhibiting pigment, is used in a two-part epoxy primer. Epoxy primers may be used to waterproof materials, preventing oxidation of the metal surfaces. Since paints in the automotive and marine industries are critical for preventing corrosion, epoxy coatings are often used as primers to strengthen metal surface adhesion. Epoxy primers are also used in structural steel coatings with a high build thickness.

Substrate to be coated must be sound, clean and free from any contamination. Enclosed shot blasting or scarification should be employed followed by thorough vacuuming. All applications must be carried out in accordance with manufacturers' written instructions.

Stir each component separately using a slow speed (300-400) electric drill fitted with a paint mixer or a wing type mixing paddle. Then pour the entire content of Part B into Part A and continue to mix for 2-3 minutes before use.

Brush, roller (short hair mohair roller) Epoxy mortar screed should be laid immediately after the primer is applied before it dries up.
